An idea that was spawned from the Anarchy Audio Facebook Group, the Gain of Tones was originally intended as a 2in1 circuit with the Gold Class Overdrive.
It however evolved into a dual mode overdrive, based on the KoT circuit, with improvements made to its “distortion” setting. “Overdrive” and “Clean boost” modes remain identical, with the exception of the presence control being external. (turning this control fully CW results in low mids being pushed forward and top end rounded off, same setting as found in two V4 KoTs)
The 2 drive modes are identical and switchable between the “standard” and “high gain” potentiometer offerings of the KoT.
Initial pre-production runs featured custom graphics and colours, and various options footswitch allocation (some with Bi-LED indicators for mode I/II) and was one of the first of many custom pedal runs to utilise our new laser engraver.

I’m not sure why you changed the config of the KOT, i.e. two Prince of Tones stacked. This means you can use one in drive mode and the other side to boost it in boost mode, very handy. You can’t use the GOT in this way, switching will only get you more gain. I’m sure you know all this and made choices accordingly, probably based more on gain states rather than boost/volume states. Still, I guess I could order a custom with two low gain GOT’s stacked, each side with its own mode toggle, gain, tone and volume? Presence can stay indoors if need be. Is this possible and cost? Cheers Rick (you nailed the sounds by the way!)

I didn’t want to offer a clone of an existing product. Same as I don’t want to play cover songs in a cover band. Email contact for custom build/one offs

Fair enough. Since writing my post I have discovered that pairing the GOT with a Gold Class really works for me and does everything I was asking about. I’m using it with an Epiphone Casino (P90s) or a US Jazzmaster and a silverface Fender Vibrolux.
